Surpass 12.12 Pre-Release Webinar

By 14 December 2017January 8th, 2020Pre-Release Webinar

Join members of the team as we take you through some of the exciting new features that will be available in the upcoming release of Surpass.

Topics Covered

Forward Only and Allow Item Review (4:40)

In previous releases of Surpass, we have introduced the concept of Forward Only navigation in a test, which can be set up for a whole test or just at a section level. This allows you to force a candidate to answer each question before moving on to the next question in the test.

We are now offering the ability to control a candidate’s interaction with a test even further by introducing the ‘Allow Item Review’ setting. This allows candidates in Forward Only section to navigate back to previous questions they have answered in a read only format. This allows them to view their answers without changing them, which makes this features ideal for tests with connected questions.

Detailed Item History and User Audit Log (8:57)

When managing huge teams who are responsible for writing thousands of items on complex subjects, it’s essential to see where changes are being made.

Working in a collaborative environment also means it might sometimes be necessary to see who is making these changes.
In response to these Surpass community needs, we have further improved the Item History function to contain much more detailed information.

Improvements to File Attach (16:55)

More and more Surpass community members are using the assessment platform for portfolio type assessments and simulations.

We’ve been working together with them to ensure features such as the ‘File Attach’ question type are robust, but also easy to use for both item authors and candidates.

Surpass API (28:08)

The Surpass API affords community organisations a great deal of flexibility when it comes to integrating the assessment platform with their other critical business processes.

We are continuously adding functionality based on customers’ needs and, like with all Surpass functionality, sharing this with the wider community.
