Originally streamed 3rd September, 2020 – 4:00pm BST | 11:00am ET

A subtitled version of this video will be available shortly, and this page updated with further questions from the community.

For this webinar, Ben Brady was be joined by Surpass Head of Design, Richard London, and Senior UX Designer, Neil Dickinson, as well as the newest member of the Surpass Accessibility Team, Andy Varley.

Over the course of the live stream, the team provides an update on recent developments in the assessment platform, Surpass, to ensure compatibility with screen readers, the evolution of the Surpass accessibility team, and ongoing developments with regards to current and future WCAG guidelines. They also discuss how specific accessibility requirements are becoming more common in the world of testing, before talking about the concept of ‘inclusive design’ being more than a box-ticking exercise, as well as our social obligations as we work towards a mission to ‘improve the assessment experience for everyone’.

We hope that by sharing this webinar ahead of the Surpass Conference in October we can inspire your questions and discussion at the event itself.

Who this webinar is for:

If you’re involved in the creation of exams and have on obligation, or simply a desire to improve the candidate experience for everybody, then this discussion will help you to develop ideas and ignite new ways of thinking around inclusive assessment design.
