Learning with immersive VR technology with NCFE CACHE and PregnancyVue

Janet King from NCFE CACHE talks to Tim Burnett from the Surpass team at BTL following her presentation at the 2019 Surpass Conference in Newcastle. Janet reflects on her presentation which discussed the use of immersive VR headsets with the PregnancyVue app in the teaching and learning of health, child and social care qualifications.

“Developed to support our CACHE health, child and social care qualifications, PregnancyVue is an immersive virtual reality (VR) app which allows users to learn about foetal growth and development from conception through to birth. Created in collaboration with learners, tutors and subject specialists, PregnancyVue offers schools and colleges an opportunity to re-imagine how they can engage with learners and improve knowledge retention.”

PregnancyVue was an Innovation Award finalist in the 2018 e-Assessment Awards.
