BTL Group Ltd is pleased to announce its involvement in a £1.5million research project to develop a leading edge Tele-health Consultation System. This innovative healthcare technology will revolutionise the way patients receive advice and support from doctors and carers by providing direct ‘live’ communication from the comfort of their own homes.

The Tele-health Consultation System is a TV-based video telephony solution that has been developed in conjunction with a number of partners in the Bradford and Airedale district, including the Airedale NHS Trust, Red Embedded Design and the Advanced Digital Institute.

This innovative new system will initially be trialled by the Airedale NHS Trust, and it is anticipated that it will then be rolled out across the wider NHS. The system will be simple to use and will allow the patients to experience a more personalised, timely and convenient method of consultation. The technology on which the system is built has been developed so that patients can undertake e Learning, view video information and use the two-way video services for support.
