Paul Burns from the Surpass team and host Rosie Sweeney explained the new features and updates in the 12.32 release on 13 June.
Key features
Item Authoring
- A new Table item type lets candidates submit a data grid in response to a prompt. You can either provide a partially-filled table or give candidates the tools to create their own.
- You can now choose whether to provide candidates with a Basic or Full formatting toolbar when creating an Advanced Essay question.
- Item sets complete with their items can now be displayed as one entity in the Item Search and Item Lists grids, providing more flexibility in how you view items in Item Search and Item Lists.
Test Administration
- Candidates can now be added or removed from scheduled test sessions in the Edit Test screen, for more efficient amendments to existing test sessions.
Other features
- SecureClient is now available for Apple Macs.
- The Surpass Platform now has Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), providing an extra layer of security for both your users and your instance of Surpass.
