ILTA promotes the improvement of language testing throughout the world.
Saltaire, West Yorkshire, UK, 15th April 2021 – Surpass is pleased to announce it has joined the International Language Testing Association (ILTA) as an institutional member.
ILTA is an international group of language testing and assessment scholars and practitioners who together define what it means to be a language tester.
By becoming an institutional member of ILTA, Surpass will benefit from opportunities to share ideas and expertise, and help develop good testing practice by networking and communicating with peers, as gaining access to industry resources and webinars.
The Surpass Community already includes a number of global organisations working in the language testing space, including telc Language Tests, Trinity College London, and Michigan Language Assessment. Surpass technology allows for the secure creation and delivery of all aspects of language testing in one place. Innovative features in the Surpass platform include advanced audio capture features, and audio playback functionality alongside written responses, as well as the ability for test creators to include supplemental rich media files, such as video and ultra-high definition images, to create realistic simulations for all test takers.
By becoming a member of the ILTA, Surpass further demonstrates commitment to the development of language testing and improving the assessment experience for everyone, and seeks to further expand the network of language testing organisations within the Surpass Community.
Keith Myers, CEO, Surpass, commented:
‘We’ve been working with language testing organisations for many years, and have developed many innovative features within the Surpass platform ideal for assessing language ability. We’re delighted to have been welcomed to the ILTA and will take full advantage of all the benefits on offer to further expand our ideas and expertise in this space. We look forward to working with and learning from this strong community of professionals.’
