Advanced item banking in Surpass: SME management, standard setting, and what the future holds
In this session you’ll hear from three different speakers who will be giving an overview of recent functionality introduced to Surpass, and what to expect from the platform in the future.
Firstly, Tim Burnett is joined by Abby Esten, VP Business Development, and Barry Porter, VP Account Management at BTL Surpass to look at some features that have been introduced to Surpass over the last year, or have seen an increase in use. This includes remote invigilation, custom HTML packaged source material, enhancements to the audio capture question, and the evolution of the ‘tasks’ functionality.
Next, Richard Feinberg, Senior Psychometrician at NBME discusses standard setting. He gives an overview of the process, as well as talking about how his organisation collaborated with BTL to develop new functionality in Surpass to facilitate the standard setting process and overcome some challenges they were facing. This functionality, exclusive to the Surpass Community, is particularly well-timed as organisations increasingly look to conduct these activities remotely.
Finally, Tim Burnett speaks to Simon Trevers, Chief Strategy Officer at BTL about his role in understanding customer needs to help us create the best possible products and services, and a look ahead to some key industry trends.
