Earlier this year it was announced that BTL was ranked in the top 25% of the fastest growing technology companies at the 2020 Northern Tech Awards.
The Northern Tech Awards Top 100 League Table ranks companies by revenue growth over the last 3 years. BTL came in at number 22, with a growth rate of 50%.
This sees BTL rise 26 places up the league table, after being ranked at number 48 in the 2019 list of fastest growing companies, demonstrating the continued growth and success of the company.
This year’s top 100 features other notable education technology providers, including Twinkl, publishers of digital teaching material for schools, Sonocent, creators of an Audio Notetaker tool for students, and Virtual College, provider of online learning solutions, and also chaired by BTL Chairman Bob Gomersall.
BTL serves a growing global community of awarding bodies for general and professional qualifications as well as high-profile universities and government organizations from its headquarters in the north of England, and offices in the US. BTL’s rapid revenue growth has come from a combination of the licensing and development of the assessment platform, Surpass, as well as the provision of assessment services such as a global test center network and online proctoring service.
The Northern Tech Awards, presented by GP. Bullhound, celebrate the fastest growing and most promising tech companies in the north of England and Scotland. Due to concerns over COVID-19, this year’s event took place virtually and brought together hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders from the global tech community.
