
The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) has chosen Surpass Assessment to help develop and deliver its high-stakes exams for medical professionals from 2026.
RCEM, which aims to advance education and research in Emergency Medicine, will use the award-winning Surpass Platform for the creation, delivery and scoring of their high-stakes Membership Examinations and Fellowship Examinations.
Benefitting from the Surpass global Test Center Network, RCEM candidates will be able to take tests at modern testing sites.
The College is delighted to announce its new theory exam partnership with Surpass Assessment. Surpass demonstrated they have the technical skill and expertise to meet our candidate, Examiner and College needs to deliver and maintain high quality exams, which made them ideal partners. We look forward to working together to deliver our theory exams to candidates from 2026.

About RCEM
The Royal College of Emergency Medicine works to ensure high quality care for patients by setting and monitoring standards of care in emergency departments, as well as providing expert guidance and advice on policy to relevant bodies on matters relating to Emergency Medicine. They are responsible for setting standards of training, administering examinations and awarding Fellowship and Membership of the College as well as supporting Post Graduate Doctors in Training to qualify in the specialty of Emergency Medicine in the United Kingdom.
