{"id":7181,"date":"2022-04-06T09:50:51","date_gmt":"2022-04-06T13:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surpass.com\/?p=7181"},"modified":"2022-04-06T09:50:56","modified_gmt":"2022-04-06T13:50:56","slug":"surpass-release-webinar-for-12-29","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surpass.com\/en-gb\/news\/2022\/surpass-release-webinar-for-12-29\/","title":{"rendered":"Surpass release webinar for 12.29"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Surpass team recently hosted the latest Surpass webinar, on Tuesday 5 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kat from the Surpass training team, and host Ben Brady, explained the new and improved features in the 12.29 release, including UX improvements to layouts in &#8216;Item Authoring&#8217;, and a new &#8216;Duplicate Item&#8217; functionality in Tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch the recording here, and read on for an overview of the key features that were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"key-features\">Key features <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"item-authoring\">Item Authoring<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Item comments and enemy item information are now located in the right-hand panel of the Item Authoring screen.<\/li><li>Improvements to Multiple Choice delivery: Supporting content can now be added so that it appears in a two-column layout for Multiple Choice questions (MCQs).<\/li><li>Improvements to how tag collections are displayed in the Item Authoring screen.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"item-authoring\">Test Delivery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>More than one tool can now be added to a single item.<\/li><li>Improvements to Essay item type: the size of the Essay item response box can now be customised by defining the number of lines in the answer box.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"item-authoring\">Tasks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Users can now create item and item set duplicates (successors) within Review tasks using a new Duplicate Item button.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"item-authoring\">Performance improvements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The way permissions are checked each time the&nbsp;Invigilate&nbsp;screen is loaded has been optimised.<\/li><li>Updating test form sections using the API now responds quicker.<\/li><li>The&nbsp;Subjects&nbsp;page now takes less time to load.<\/li><li>Deleting items from the&nbsp;Media Library&nbsp;now performs more quickly.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"webinar-discussions\">Webinar discussions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1m 48: Items comments and enemy item information are now in the right-hand panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8m 47: Supporting content can be added in a two-column layout for MCQs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12m 51: More than one tool can be added to a single item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18m 05: The size of the Essay item response box can be customised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>22m 43: items and item sets can be duplicated within Review tasks using a new Duplicate Item button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"questions\">Questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>QUESTION: How many characters can be added per line<\/em>,<em> in the Essay item type?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>ANSWER: It depends on screen resolution.<\/em> <em>The maximum number of lines is up to 50, and you can set this.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"webinar-cta\">\n<h2>Want to know more?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>If you have any questions about the features mentioned in this webinar, or any other features within Surpass, please get in touch with your customer success manager.
