{"id":4423,"date":"2020-12-16T07:33:44","date_gmt":"2020-12-16T12:33:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surpass.com\/?p=4423"},"modified":"2026-01-16T14:28:40","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T14:28:40","slug":"webinar-finance-and-accounting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surpass.com\/de\/news\/2020\/webinar-finance-and-accounting\/","title":{"rendered":"Surpass Community Webinar \u2013 Simulations, TBS, and large scale delivery (Surpass for Finance and Accountancy Examinations)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In this special panel-based webinar,&nbsp;<strong>Robbie Burns (Assessment &amp; Quality Lead at ICAS), Ioana Raileanu (Senior Assessment and Quality Specialist at ICAS) and Andy Thomas (Director, PEP Examinations &#8211; Evaluation and International Assessment at CPA Canada)&nbsp;join host Jim Crawford (SVP Global Business Development at Surpass) <\/strong>to deliver a globe-spanning discussion about the present and future of high-stakes, true-to-life examinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, while the focus of our panel was accounting and finance, other testing organizations will no doubt benefit from the collaboration shown across the wider testing sphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the course of the discussion, demonstrations were given highlighting the simulation capabilities of Surpass, and an &#8218;elevator pitch&#8216; demonstration of the &#8218;Task Based Simulation&#8216; (TBS) feature was offered from a member of the expert Surpass team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Using word processing and spreadsheet simulation tools directly from the secure test driver.<\/li><li>Split-screen features for using digital source materials.<\/li><li>Lessons from 2020 &#8211; Online Proctoring and Test-Center Alternatives (including a particularly fascinating solution from CPA Canada).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As with all Surpass webinars, the live chat alongside the video window provided the Surpass Community to share their thoughts with each other and ask questions directly to the presenters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you find the webinar useful?
