{"id":14504,"date":"2026-02-05T10:41:34","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T10:41:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surpass.com\/?p=14504"},"modified":"2026-02-19T15:38:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T15:38:20","slug":"ncfe-to-work-with-surpass-on-ai-assisted-marking-and-feedback-trial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surpass.com\/de\/news\/2026\/ncfe-to-work-with-surpass-on-ai-assisted-marking-and-feedback-trial\/","title":{"rendered":"NCFE to work with Surpass on AI-assisted marking and feedback trial"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NCFE and Surpass Assessment have launched an innovative new pilot to explore how AI assisted marking and feedback can enhance assessment experiences for learners, teachers and Certification Bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pilot, running from November 2025 to April 2026, will evaluate how automated scoring and feedback can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide learners with immediate, high quality formative feedback &#8211; helping them to practise, reflect and improve with guidance delivered in seconds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deliver detailed reporting and actionable insights &#8211; including overall performance summaries, identified strengths and areas for improvement, and targeted learning interventions to guide revision and next steps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduce scoring workload for teachers and assessors &#8211; offering time savings while enriching the learner experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure accuracy and alignment with NCFE\u2019s standards, the pilot includes simple setup tools, with marking prompts and fine-tuning controls that allow administrators and subject experts to calibrate the AI for their specific assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pilots are being carried out in a safe, controlled environment, ensuring transparency, opportunities for learning and responsible use of AI at every stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-left is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">NCFE is committed to our core purpose to promote and enhance learning.
